I think this quote means that people must stop seeking revenge as in, with it people only get hurt or lose something instead there must be change made because what has happened and people must learn to forgive and overcome because seeking that revenge which is shown in "an eye for an eye" will never achieve what needs to be done and there will never be any progress. I really like this quote because I see how people get caught up in revenge and both ends of the situation end up getting hurt and the problem is never really solved just repeating, repeating, and repeating,but by overcoming this urge for revenge there is progress and the cycle is beat, but when this cycle goes unconquered in theory all will be sought after for revenge leaving everyone hurt.
