Economic Imperialism

Economic Imperialism was a way for an empire to control its colony. It is where independent but less developed nations are controlled by private business interensts rather thean by a government. This would consist of no foreign government and a self supporting econmy, led by a major company. One example of this would be that of Hawaii where the Dole Fruit Company had complete control over the pineapple trade.
